My goal in joining the LAMP fellowship
As an Indian citizen, it is my duty and goal to work for the welfare of our society and country. This is an insatiable thirst. Our people & our society mould us, and the people who comes to earth following us. The life around us and the welfare of our being are intertwined like strands of a rope that holds a mast bearing a flag, and the strength of the ropes lie in the entanglement of these strands.
The fate of this mast lies with the fate of these threads.
To make this rope qualified to hold the mast, that bears a flag, it has to be maintained. The braids must be combed, cleaned, washed and taut so as to hold the pole steady and sturdy without wavering.
Like with the braids, the laws, policies and plans comb, clean & nurture us.
I would like to experience in first-hand, the policy and law making, keen to understand the problems that our country faces in executing these plans and would like to think on solutions to successfully draft a plan and amend it. It will be a great honor and learning to work with an MP of our country and to aid him in his preparations and in understanding the odds that a representative faces. As an opinion, each citizen of a country should have a chance of getting educated in detail how the parliament and our policy making works, the problems that our governing bodies faces and the efforts that are put in developing a civic policy. This will be a great chance for me to learn in person how plans are made to suit our country’s vastness.
